The SSC CGL Result 2024 for Tier 1 is anticipated to be announced shortly on the official website, ssc.nic.in. The Tier 1 examination, held from September 9 to 26, 2024, assessed candidates through objective-type questions in General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section included 25 questions, totaling 50 marks. Provisional answer keys were released on October 3, 2024, with objections accepted until October 8, 2024.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 17,727 Group B and C posts across various Government Ministries, Departments, and Tribunals. Qualified candidates from Tier 1 will proceed to Tier 2, scheduled for January 18-20, 2025. Certain posts require candidates to clear a physical eligibility test, detailed below.
Posts Requiring Physical Tests
Candidates must pass physical tests for specific roles, including:
1. Inspector (Central Excise) – CBIC
2. Inspector (Examiner) – CBIC
3. Inspector (Preventive Officer) – CBIC
4. Inspector – CBN
5. Sub-Inspector – CBN (Ministry of Finance), CBI, NIA
6. Junior Intelligence Officer – NCB, MHA
Physical Standards and Tests
Inspector (CBIC/CBN) and Sub-Inspector (CBN)
Male Standards:
Height: 157.5 cm
Chest: 81 cm (expanded, 5 cm minimum expansion)
Test: Walk 1600 meters in 15 mins, cycle 8 km in 30 mins (Cycling not required for CBN posts).
Female Standards:
Height: 152 cm, Weight: 48 kg
Test: Walk 1 km in 20 mins, cycle 3 km in 25 mins (Cycling not required for CBN posts).
Sub-Inspector (CBI):
Male: Height 165 cm, Chest 76 cm (expanded).
Female: Height 150 cm.
Vision: 6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in the other (distant); near vision 0.6 and 0.8 (with or without glasses).
Sub-Inspector (NIA):
Male: Height 170 cm, Chest 76 cm (expanded).
Female: Height 150 cm.
Vision: Same as for CBI posts.
